Separately, Tapping & Fingerpicking are two great techniques to learn on the guitar for any player and when applied correctly, can be used in a very melodic way. I've also thrown in some harmonics as well to give it a proggy chilled out vibe.
This guitar exercise will help you combine the two techniques in a tasteful way while building your right-hand and left-hand strength and accuracy. It's a difficult exercise to get to grips with on the guitar, so remember to practice with a metronome.
